Pantone, Inc., the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries, and Autodesk® Inc., the leading developer of digital tools for architectural design and CAD/CAM, announced that Autodesk Architectural Studio 2 will support the new PANTONE for architecture and interiors color system, giving designers increased color customization. Autodesk Architectural Studio 2 provides PANTONE Colors in a scrollable list of swatches, allowing designers to make exact, predictable and effective color choices.
"We are thrilled that Autodesk Architectural Studio 2 is the first software package to support the new PANTONE for architecture and interiors color palette, advancing color technology and improving productivity in this industry," exclaimed Lisa Herbert, executive vice president of Pantone. "The inclusion of the PANTONE Palette affords architects and interior designers the same color control and accurate color communication that designers in other industries have enjoyed for decades."
"The inclusion of PANTONE Color Libraries in Autodesk Architectural Studio 2 software is a great advantage," said Douglas Look, AIA, senior design strategist for Autodesk Inc. "Designers can now reliably select customized colors based on a universally accepted industry standard. It's another step forward in extending traditional practice to a digital design environment."
