E-Commerce Manager

Job Purpose:

Manage sales targets for Pantone’s e-commerce business

Job Description:

The E-Commerce Manager for the Americas is responsible for managing revenue targets and unit sales performance of the ecommerce business across key platforms, including Pantone.com, the company’s fastest growing channels. In this role, the E-Commerce Manager will continuously analyze performance of the channel, then develop, prioritize, and implement strategies to meet sales forecasts. Additionally, the E-Commerce Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing key revenue driving activities, including digital advertising, search engine marketing, and retargeting programs. As such, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce, digital marketing, and data analytics. This role reports to the Americas Sales Director with a dotted line to the Global Ecommerce Lead and a strong working relationship with the marketing team.

Sales Forecasting

  • Manage revenue targets and sales performance of Pantone’s ecommerce channel in the Americas, focusing primarily on the sale of Pantone products through Pantone.com, and other relevant country or regional e-commerce platforms
  • Develop highly effective and measurable strategies to drive revenue growth, increase unit sales performance, improve sales conversion, and promote AOV through cross-category purchases. To the extent there are gaps between budget and actual performance, lead data analysis to drive to root cause and then develop robust plans that bridge the gap.
  • Prepare and present on business performance and sales forecasts at daily management meetings that feed into the Americas sales targets. Report to the senior leadership team on business, as required.

Channel Management

  • Define, plan and implement right e-commerce approach by country and region
  • Create and articulate means of differentiating between incremental vs channel shift sales growth.
  • Work with the sales and marketing teams (including, when appropriate, distributor partners) to develop commercialization strategies that allow Pantone to win across all channels through channel differentiation.

Digital Marketing

  • Manage digital media planning & buying, including digital advertising, search engine marketing, and retargeting, to drive traffic.
  • Work with the Marketing team to recommend and execute new forms of marketing including affiliate, display, and social media as needed.

Metrics & Measurement

  • Develop sales forecasting accuracy.
  • Lead the implementation of daily and visual management tools to create a results driven, transparent culture within Pantone. Present to senior leadership team at Pantone and Danaher as required.

Team Building

  • Work closely with sales peers to ensure coordination and alignment of channels while minimizing conflict, to drive overall regional sales growth
  • Work closely with web development to brief and prioritize projects that will deliver revenue targets.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert in the sales organization, bringing ideas, energy, and structure.
  • Support sales counterparts by providing thought leadership and training on e-commerce best practices.
  • Develop and grow agency partners and consultants through structured feedback and stretch projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product management, communications, finance, sales operations, and more.

Education And Experience Required

  • 5+ years of e-commerce experience in roles with advancing responsibility.
  • Experience in digital media buying including advertising, search engine marketing, & retargeting. Understanding of best practices and agency management a plus.
  • Strong track record of managing and meeting sales forecasting expectations.
  • Relevant experience in brand, fashion, graphic art, or design related industries required
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field required.

Global Communications Manager

Job Purpose:

Lead Global Public Relations and Social Media for the Pantone brand, which includes three diverse business units: the Pantone Color Institute, digital and physical color management tools, and consumer lifestyle products

Job Description:

The Global Communications Manager will build the strategy and manage the execution of public relations (PR) and social media (SM) programming at Pantone. In this role, the Global Communications Manager will develop the global PR and SM strategy, execute that strategy in the US marketplace, and act as an advisor to regional teams (EMEA & APAC), who will execute that strategy in local markets. The Global Communications Manager will also lead key programs, including Pantone’s Color of the Year and Fashion Color Report, and build partnerships that will drive Pantone’s relevance in the marketplace. This role reports to the Global Director of Brand & Communications.

Strategy &Vision

  • Support the Director of Global Brand and Communications in developing and executing brand strategies that will generate revenue growth for the business:
    • Drive brand awareness, product awareness and purchase consideration among fashion, graphic and product designers
    • Elevate and standardizing the brand’s aesthetic and voice across all channels
    • Educate the design market on color management and Pantone’s value proposition
    • Promote Pantone’s diverse business units including the Pantone Color Institute, digital and physical color management tools, and consumer lifestyle products
  • Develop PR and SM strategies to drive the business, including proactive media pitches, social media influencer campaigns, and relevant industry partnerships.

Project Management

  • Act as the project manager for PR-focused brand projects, including Color of the Year and Fashion Color Report. Develop strategies to grow those programs and manage the cross-functional teams to execute 360 communications programs across channels: teams include PCI marketing, web, digital and creative departments.
  • Support team projects, such as new product launches, through the PR and SM channels by developing and executing strategies on-time and in-full.
  • Build brand guidelines and playbooks for regional team to adapt and execute locally.

Agency Partnership Management

  • Lead management of the brand’s US public relations and social media agency partners.
  • Act as an advisor to regional teams in selecting, training, and onboarding local agency partners (EMEA & APAC).
  • Build SM influencer strategy and oversee the selection of influencer partnerships in the US (provide input for the selection of regional influencer partnerships when needed).
  • Build PR partnership strategy with industry associations, media publications, and educational institutions. Advise and oversee the selection and promotion of global industry partnerships.

  • Measure, track, and optimize all communications programs to drive stronger revenue growth and continuous improvement within the organization

Product Manager, Fashion & Product Design

Product management is responsible for managing the products and solutions that serve our customer today, while identifying the markets, trends, and technology that will meet their needs for the future. In this role, the Product Manager for Fashion & Product Design will focus on the products and solutions that support color selection, specification, and realization in the design process for the textile design and product development segments, with a focus on apparel and fashion accessories, soft and hard home furnishings, color cosmetics, consumer technology and durable goods.

The role and responsibilities within product management are dynamic and include: customer research and insights, competitive analysis, product mix management, product roadmap development, product design and packaging, pricing, and innovation launch management.

Essential Job Functions:

  • New Product Development
    • Collaborate with Market Intelligence and Trend Forecasting teams to seek consumer insights and define new product opportunities and requirements. Understand and prioritize the critical trends in colors, materials, and finishes in design. Understand and react to changes in design workflow, while accounting for regional differences globally.
    • Maintain a pulse on the market through competitive analysis to develop a sustainable, differentiated strategic position in the market.

    • Create and drive prioritized development of the physical product roadmaps.   • Product Line Health
    • Develop pricing, revenue and gross margin forecasts based on market sizing and customer value. Manage monthly reporting and/or corrective actions.
    • Manage revenue forecasting accuracy, product gross margin and quality metrics. Present results to senior leadership for review.
    • Perform regular product-line reviews and problem solving initiatives to identify and correct gaps to plan.
    • Co-ordinate with the service team to develop support services to increase customer satisfaction. Co-ordinate with the sales team to ensure proper channel management.

Key Technical Attributes:

  • 4+ years of product management experience within the fashion/apparel industry or within a business serving the fashion/apparel industry. Other product categories (e.g. cosmetics or home goods) a plus
  • Experience in product management or development at a color / trend company serving apparel
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Industrial Design or Engineering. MBA a plus
  • Ability to drive projects through a detailed product management process. Keen understanding of all aspects of the product lifecycle including market launch, sales forecasting, pricing, gross margin evolution and end-of-life management.
  • Creativity to develop and deploy diverse problem-solving models, ability to build business cases through strong financial and analytical skills.
