The PANTONE PLUS Digital Libraries Installer is a FREE utility that allows you to integrate the PANTONE PLUS Libraries quickly and easily into the Adobe® Creative Suite®.
Simply run the installer and the new PANTONE PLUS Libraries will be placed in the correct folder for easy use from within the Adobe Creative Suite.
Please note: This PANTONE PLUS Digital Libraries Installer will make it easy to add the new PLUS SERIES Color Libraries to Adobe Illustrator®, Adobe InDesign® and Adobe Photoshop®. The PANTONE PLUS Libraries will be differentiated from the pre-existing PANTONE Libraries by a “PANTONE+” designation in the Library name.
This installer includes the following PANTONE PLUS Color Libraries:
- PANTONE+ Solid Coated
- PANTONE+ Solid Uncoated
- PANTONE+ Color Bridge Coated
- PANTONE+ Color Bridge Uncoated
- PANTONE+ Premium Metallics Coated
- PANTONE+ Pastels & Neons Coated
- PANTONE+ Pastels & Neons Uncoated
- PANTONE+ CMYK Coated
- PANTONE+ CMYK Uncoated
Microsoft® operating systems: Windows® XP, Windows Vista™ and Windows 7
Apple operating systems: Mac OS X 10.4 or later
Please note that running this installer will replace the existing PANTONE Libraries in Adobe Illustrator with the latest versions of the PANTONE Libraries in the PANTONE PLUS SERIES. The Pantone Libraries that currently exist in Adobe Illustrator will be placed in a folder (Program Files\Pantone Color Book Backup CS) which can be used again, if needed.
The reason that the PANTONE Color Libraries that had been built into Illustrator need to be removed and replaced with the PANTONE PLUS Color Libraries is that, in Illustrator, a PANTONE Color can only have one data point with which it is associated. In the short term, in order to benefit from the new colors and data associated in PLUS, the PANTONE Libraries that are installed with Adobe Illustrator are removed and replaced with the new PLUS Libraries.
