Value Stream Manager, Textile Operations

Set and lead the achievement of Textile operational and supply chain objectives for the PANTONE site. Responsible for managing and driving results for Textiles operations, including manufacturing, production planning and scheduling, quality control, and supply chain in support of safety, quality, delivery, inventory and cost / productivity targets (SQDIP). This specifically includes the implementation of Lean Manufacturing processes and the development of a Lean organization.

Scope and Impact of Position Responsibilities:

This position significantly impacts the Company’s ability to be globally competitive in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth. This position is also instrumental in the development of a base of Company associates with a solid understanding of our operating philosophy. This position is a key leadership position within the Company, with high visibility, ideally suited to candidates with long-term promotability to a Director of Operations or General Manager position after achieving sustainable results at Pantone.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all areas of Textiles operations (manufacturing, supply chain, quality control, and production scheduling/planning). Communicate progress through focused meetings with staff and Director of Operations.
  • Achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost/Productivity targets through use of Danaher Business System (DBS) methods including active problem solving and Kaizen.
  • Lead improvements in inventory and Purchase Price Variance (PPV) initiatives resulting in positive improvements in working capital and margins.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure inventory and PPV goals are met.
  • Build and develop a World Class Operations team capable of meeting current and future business objectives, to include providing mentoring, career development planning and succession planning for the operations organization.
  • Use human resource processes/sytems for employee performance, development, etc..
  • Understand critical details and drive systemic, prioritized activities for goal achievement.
  • Execute strategic plan and policy deployment through the proper tactical processes, employee engagement and hands-on leadership.
  • Professionally represent Pantone operations in customer-facing interactions.
  • Maintain area, equipment, and facilities to provide and sustain a safe and quality-working environment supportive of maximum efficiency, productivity, and return on investment.

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Operations/Supply Chain Management or Engineering, is desired. MBA is desired.
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing management experience within a high mix and metric driven environment, required. Plant/Operations daily management, process development and organizational development experience in a Lean/Pull operations environment, required.
  • Experience with utilizing lean methodology and tools to improve operations, required.
  • Experience in directly managing multiple functions (supply chain, operations, facilities, quality), required.
  • Experience setting and managing to budgets, required.
  • Demonstrated success in a Supply Chain management role to include yearly material savings and inventory goals, required.
  • Experience in a textile dyeing and/or printing operation, desirable.

Brand & Communications Director

Pantone has been the world leader in color communication and specification for almost fifty years. Pantone’s products and services are used by designers and manufacturers in many industries – from graphic design and print to apparel and product design – to ensure accurate color from inspiration to realization.

The Brand Communications Director at Pantone is responsible for leading all global consumer facing brand communications, including marketing campaigns, media outreach, crisis management, brand partnerships, and social media.

In this role, the Brand Communications Director will lead the communications strategy and execution of key brand programs, including Color of the Year, The Fashion Color Report, and new product launches. Additionally, this role will be responsible for leading all globally agency relationships that involve public relations, social media, creative media buying, and creative asset development.

The Brand & Communications Director is expected to:

Strategy

  • Support the Vice President of Global Marketing in building and executing global brand strategies that will generate revenue growth and meet business objectives
  • Drive purchase consideration among designers and other target customers across all marketing programs and materials through education on Pantone’s value proposition in color management
  • Develop programming and assets that will support Pantone’s dealer network and direct sales team
  • Elevate and standardize the brand’s aesthetic and voice across all channels

Project and Process Management

  • Lead all global brand communications efforts, including above-the-line and below-the-line activities
  • End user marketing activities include PR, social media, creative development, trade shows, and telemarketing campaigns
  • Detailed Knowledge of Global Shipping (Experience with all modes of transportation i.e. Ship, Air, LTL, FTL, Demonstrated expertise with Direct Import, Negotiation Skills, Understanding of NAFTA requirements, etc.)
  • For demand and lead generation activities, lead the set-up and execution of campaigns and support the lead-to-order process to ensure no leakage and continuous learnings
  • Example projects include developing brand style guidelines, leading the launch strategy for new products, building a train-the-trainer program, and Color of the Year

People Management

  • Act as a leader in the organization, bringing ideas, energy, and structure to the team

  • Develop and grow direct reports through stretch projects and regularly scheduled feedback
  • Determine the human resource needs of the communications team and recruit accordingly
  • Work with cross-functional leaders across Sales, ECom and Web, Licensing, and Color Institute to develop effective 360 communications programs

Metrics & Measurement

  • Measure, track, and optimize all communications programs to drive stronger revenue growth and continuous improvement within the organization
  • Lead the implementation of Danaher Business System tools including daily and visual management to promote a results driven, transparent culture within Pantone
  • Present to the senior leadership team at Pantone and Danaher, as required

Education and Experience Required

  • 5+ years of brand management experience in roles with advancing responsibility
  • 3+ years of experience design related industries and B2B companies preferred
  • Hands-on experience in marketing communications, leading organizations with similar type of go-to-market (direct, dealers, e-com) and marketing activities (advertising, PR, social media, trade shows, webinars, telemarketing, etc.)

Logistics & Fulfillment Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a Logistics & Fulfillment Manager that, along with other operational leaders, reports directly to the Director of Operations. This role supports daily production operations by ensuring the accuracy and on-time delivery of customer orders at the lowest cost possible. The primary job responsibilities are to formulate and execute a strategic plan for global logistics and fulfillment in support of Pantone’s business requirements and daily supervision of team of five that include Inventory Control, Assistant Supervisor and pick/pack/ship associates. Key objectives include ensuring Core Value Drivers (CVD)/KPI metric performance, maintaining and lowering costs while making improvements, and ensuring all internal & external compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure zero OSHA recordable incidents.
  • Ensure the accuracy and on-time delivery of daily truck and parcel shipments.
  • Conduct daily management to monitor performance and use problem solving, Kaizen and Lean methods to drive continual improvement.
  • Manage a diverse team of logistics and warehouse personnel and establish staffing requirements to best meet the needs of the business.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and customers on logistics costs and process issues. Develop best practices, communicate and launch improvement initiatives to improve CVD/KPI performance and lower costs.
  • Analyze monthly freight spend to ensure that lowest cost options are used for all shipments. Perform provider RFQ’s for all modes and leverage Danaher rates to select carriers that provide the most economical shipment options.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy via cycle counting & annual physical inventory at a 99% accuracy goal. Use problem solving to identify temporary and permanent countermeasures for improvement.
  • Using cross-functional resources, conduct kaizen events to drive efficiency in order picking, packing, and shipping. Identify areas for improvement, research and propose technological advancements and create ROI for recommended investments.
  • Work with product planners and foreign warehouse entities to ensure proper inventory levels, on-time delivery to customers, and QIT metrics.
  • Complete relevant work as assigned and assist on special tasks as required.
  • Support internal teams with operational excellence.

Requirements/Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management
  • 3 plus years applicable experience with general logistics protocols including management, rate negotiations and lane management.
  • Detailed Knowledge of Global Shipping (Experience with all modes of transportation i.e. Ship, Air, LTL, FTL, Demonstrated expertise with Direct Import, Negotiation Skills, Understanding of NAFTA requirements, etc.).

Global Communications Manager

Job Purpose:

Lead Global Public Relations and Social Media for the Pantone brand, which includes three diverse business units: the Pantone Color Institute, digital and physical color management tools, and consumer lifestyle products

Job Description:

The Global Communications Manager will build the strategy and manage the execution of public relations (PR) and social media (SM) programming at Pantone. In this role, the Global Communications Manager will develop the global PR and SM strategy, execute that strategy in the US marketplace, and act as an advisor to regional teams (EMEA & APAC), who will execute that strategy in local markets. Strategy &Vision

    • Educate the design market on color management and Pantone’s value proposition

Project Management

Agency Partnership Management

  • Lead management of the brand’s US public relations and social media agency partners.
