Textile Machine Operator

Pantone LLC, a division of X-Rite, a Danaher Company, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Machine Operator in our Carlstadt, New Jersey facility.

Pantone has been the world leader in color communication and specification for over fifty years. Pantone’s products and services are used by designers and manufacturers in many industries – from graphic design and print to apparel and product design – to ensure accurate color from inspiration to realization.

The Machine Operator is expected to:

  • Loading and unloading of textile dyeing machines
  • Cut and sew fabric utilized for specific jobs.
  • Extraction of fabric, fabric drying and cutting samples of recently dyed colors.
  • Learn all aspects of the dyeing cycle from start to finish.
  • Weigh dyes and Chemicals for dyeing of colors.
  • Perform heavy lifting; up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a clean work area. Perform daily and weekly 5S tasks in all work areas.
  • Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on machines on platform.
  • Provide feedback on processes / standard work procedures that align with DBS best team wins.
  • Be flexible with new workflows and change management; live the concept of continuous improvement
  • Assist in cycle counting
  • Strong attention to detail

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of Machine Operator experience

Textile QC Coordinator

Pantone LLC, a division of X-Rite, a Danaher Company, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Control Inspector in our Carlstadt, New Jersey facility. Pantone has been the world leader in color communication and specification for over fifty years. Pantone’s products and services are used by designers and manufacturers in many industries – from graphic design and print to apparel and product design – to ensure accurate color from inspiration to realization.

The Textile QC Coordinator is expected to:

  • Manage Daily Workflow including individual assignments with completion times and expected output.
  • Review previous day performance and post on QDIP. Determine root cause and use problem solving when necessary.
  • Main liaison between other Pantone departments and Vendors
  • Arrange jobs for teams to inspect quality for various textile products
  • Create chipping work orders for regular orders as well as custom orders
  • Follow standard operating procedures as needed to ensure fabric rolls ship to vendor, making sure goes out without mistakes and inventory is accurate
  • Process swatch Cards transfer on time and resolve work order discrepancies.
  • Learn and be able to fill in for all TQC work areas as well as back-up to the Manager
  • Perform cycle count as needed
  • Have a strong attention to detail
  • Maintain accurate inventory with daily adjustments for fabric rolls
  • Receive and adjust Kanban quantities
  • Scrap and convert fabric rolls to publications

Business Development Manager

Position Overview:

Drives revenue growth by documenting best commercial practices, leading their adoption with existing channels, and expanding Pantone presence by helping sign up new channel partners. Reporting to VP of Marketing.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Best Practice Development. Build and continuously refine playbooks and supporting tools with best commercial practices, reflecting the Pantone business model for graphics arts, textiles, and products, including:
    • How to commercialize the full Pantone offering with the right channel mix in a given country or region
    • How to effectively connect and leverage sales and marketing efforts, from demand generation to funnel management
    • How to manage key accounts, aiming at specifying Pantone solutions and driving adoption in the supply chain
  2. Channel Segmentation. Leads effort and analysis to size markets, map competitive set, and assess current Pantone presence, yielding the top priorities for channel optimization and expansion.
  3. Existing Channel Optimization. Drives revenue growth by leading deployment of commercial best practices in prioritized countries, including:
    • Drive deployment and adoption by prioritized channels, with training sales and channel partners, supported with action plans and review cadence to monitor adoption and effectiveness
    • Benchmark internal and external practitioners to learn and adopt relevant commercial approaches and tools
    • Set metrics in place to track results
  4. New Channel Development. Drives revenue growth by helping identify and on-board new partners on prioritized countries/regions, including:
    • Identify and rank partner options based on pre-defined relevant criteria
    • Negotiate commercial terms and facilitate set up
    • Helps onboarding by utilizing best practice playbooks and tools.

General Requirements/experience:

  1. 5+ years experience in business development and/or commercial roles with B2B and B2C experience in setting with complex sales channels (direct, distributors, eCom). Brand Licensing experience a plus
  2. Experience in process development and training materials, including productizing and disseminating best commercial practices as well as conducting high-impact training
  3. Experience and knowledge of economy and market for Latin America, EMEA and South East Asia, a plus
  4. Familiarity with demand generation processes, with hard metrics to track activity and results
  5. Comfortable and effective interacting with channel partners, customers and end-users, from small settings to large events, with global scale
  6. A proven track record of driving profitable revenue and market share growth, demonstrated over a sustained period of time.

Vice President, Marketing

Position Overview:

Direct all marketing functions for Pantone business worldwide to drive profitable and sustainable growth in support of strategic business plan. The VP of Marketing will play an integral role in growing Pantone brand awareness, increasing B2B and B2C market penetration for all product and service categories in all regions of the world. Reporting to VP/GM.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with General Manager in developing and executing the annual strategic plan, from the gathering of critical and relevant inputs (market and competitive analysis, key changes, voice of customer) to the synthesis into differentiated and defensible strategy that delivers value to target customers, including insightful market segmentation, positioning and targeting with clearly defined business priorities
  2. Responsible for the Pantone brand, shaping and refining its definition and expanding its equity. Involve in all decisions were brand equity is in play, setting boundaries and guidelines for use and safeguard
  3. Lead product management, (a) driving key decisions of the Pantone offering (products and services), including product development direction (refinement, derivatives and true innovations) based on an in-depth understanding of customer needs and competitive landscape; and (b) engaging with Sales channels to drive successful launches and ongoing profitable sales growth.
  4. Lead marketing communications, driving (a) brand awareness and primary demand creation (advertising, public relations, social media, search engine optimization, mass emails, trade shows, events and webinars, and telemarketing); and (b) creating and maintaining content and digital assets to use and leverage across all commercial functions.
  5.   8. Drive adoption and implementation of effective daily management tools and standard work in all marketing functions and activities, leveraging DBS tools set and benchmarking best practices in Danaher and external companies.

General Requirements/experience:

  1. 10+ years experience in senior marketing roles with B2B and B2C experience in setting with complex sales channels (direct, distributors, eCom). Sales, Services and/or Brand Licensing experience a plus
  2. Experience in product management, including product development of physical and digital products and services
  3. Experience in process development, including productizing and disseminating best commercial practices
  4. Proven expertise and success in traditional and non-traditional marketing communication elements (print and digital advertising, public relations, social media, search engine optimization, mass emails, trade shows, events and webinars, telemarketing, etc.)

About Pantone Web Team

Operating in seven countries, Pantone websites act as the retail face of our brand, communicating on our varied business units, selling products through an e-commerce platform, generating leads for our sales teams, and delivering content that engages and educates.

The Pantone web team is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Pantone’s presence on our global websites throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. In addition to daily management, including ongoing website monitoring, development and code reviews, and UI/UX design, the web team leads key strategic projects, from design to go-live, to improve user experience on the site and improve key performance metrics.

Additionally, the web team is responsible for executing digital marketing updates and campaigns that drive traffic to the site and conversion to sales, including digital marketing, email marketing, and website promotions.

The web team works closely with Pantone’s Communication Team, responsible for building the marketing calendar and delivering content for the site, as well as the E-Commerce team, responsible for delivering website sales and conducting data analytics to improve key performance metrics.

The web team is responsible to implement and sustain the Danaher’s security guidelines for websites. It works in full coordination and alignment with X-Rite IT direction and guidelines on security and web support.

About the Role

  • Lead a team of four people, including 2 developers, 1 designer, and 1 digital marketer to design, develop, promote, and maintain Pantone’s websites across US, Europe, and Asia.
  • Operate as the project manager for all site development phases from concept to launch including business requirements, user flows & wireframes, functional requirements, QA, and post-launch optimization.
  • Own, manage, and execute all web related activities including site management, UX/UI development, brand design & aesthetics, content creation, navigation, digital marketing, and performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with the e-commerce team to implement projects that drive key performance indicators (traffic, average sales price, conversion to sales), with a focus on conversion optimization.
  • Partner with the communications team to execute the global communications calendar. Develop efficient and effective ways-of-working to manage work between the teams.
  • Ensure security and compliance of the website and customer data. Follow Danaher standard business practices, monitoring the site and conducting quality assurance checks.
  • Bring a relentless focus on customer experience, product education, and design aesthetic to the Pantone web team to drive consumer engagement, product understanding, and loyalty.
  • Be comfortable with A/B and multi-variant testing optimization to create test cases and apply learning for improved business performance.
  • Attract new visitors to the Pantone sites via existing customer acquisition methodologies including SEO and email marketing. Work with the communications and ecommerce teams to recommend and execute new forms of marketing that drive site traffics including affiliate, display, social media, and growth/performance based approaches as needed.
  • Lead daily management activities for the web team in line with Danaher Business Systems. Create reports and present to senior management on website performance as required.

Requirements/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field required. MBA preferred, but not required.
  • 7-10 years of digital, web, and/or e-commerce experience in roles with increasing levels of responsibility, including managing teams and performance metrics.
  • Hands-on experience managing direct reports and working in matrix organization for decision making and execution
  • Background and interest in retailing and/or design-oriented industries preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial and action oriented, with an ability to think strategically, while also executing tactically. Comfortable developing, managing & tracking to KPIs, including revenue targets.
