PANTONE UNIVERSE Mug Collection Perks Up Your Morning Coffee

CARLSTADT, N.J., Dec. 2, 2008 - Pantone, an X-Rite company (NASDAQ: XRIT), and the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries, today announced the availability of the PANTONE UNIVERSE™ Mug Collection from W2 for design-conscious coffee and tea lovers.

"The color yellow exemplifies the warmth and nurturing quality of the sun, properties we as humans are naturally drawn to for reassurance," explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. Adorned with the iconic PANTONE® Chip design and PANTONE Color number, the white ceramic mugs are available in four distinctive sets. Consumers can choose from one of two sets of 10 mugs in a variety of colors ranging from Spearmint and Orange to Lagoon Blue and Mustard. For those looking to make the perfect cup of coffee or tea, a set of four espresso cups and saucers or four tea mugs is also available, both in differing tones of brown to match your beverage’s strength and taste. All of the mugs are dishwasher and microwave safe.

    The PANTONE UNIVERSE Mug Collection from W2 is available online at and through select retailers nationwide including Alphabets (New York City), Sprout (Chicago, IL) and The National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington D.C.). A set of 10 mugs is available for an S.R.P. of U.S. $130. A set of four espresso cups or tea mugs is available for an S.R.P. of U.S. $50. Individual mugs can be purchased for an S.R.P. of U.S. $13 at retail outlets only.
