Innovation and Impact

In our highly competitive global marketplace, would-be consumers and/or clients are continuously being wooed by evocative, imaginative, and innovative uses of color and design. Traditional media such as print and television have become more inventive and sophisticated, the gamut of digital outlets has rapidly expanded and new technologies have introduced unexpected color stories. Staying on top of the latest color forecasts in a highly visual world is vitally important to selling your products or services. Knowing what is driving these color trends and how they will impact your business will help you make those critical color decisions.

Our PANTONEVIEW home + interiors 2016 offers inspiration, key color direction and suggested color harmonies targeted toward interior design and home furnishing, including housewares, decorative accessories, bedding, bath, toys, flooring, indoor and outdoor furniture, paint, floral and food design. Looking at color as the catalyst that can define the space and create the magic and the mood, PANTONEVIEW home +interiors is segmented by color trend with each story broken out in the following way:

  1. Introduction
Each palette is introduced with a written overview of the trend and a supporting visual that sets the tone and highlights some of the key colors in the trend palette.
  2. Inspiration Photos
Then follow four pages of photos that visually display the lifestyle concept or inspiration from which the trend story evolved and developed, as well as the visuals of products and end-uses where the trend colors are applied. Color harmonies are displayed within these photos, as are key palette descriptors.
  3. Harmonies
Located within the photo pages is a printed color card of the trend palette along with the individual palette rationale, key color directives and color harmonies. Color harmonies show which colors should be mixed together and in what proportion or measure. Designed for portability, the color card is perforated to allow for a strip of the palette to be separated from the book.
  4. Summary Page
Highlighting additional insight and directions, a summary page concludes the forecast with a comprehensive color overview and a look at other factors influencing the forecast.

PANTONE Plastic Standard Chips allow precise color specification and matching of every color included in the nine palettes. The collection is organized in an attractive carousel that conveniently rotates for easy color location and chip placement. Each palette is arranged in order and separated by dividers for ease of identification.

Plastic Standard chips provide maximum creativity and control in the development of plastic products, including toys, consumer electronics, home furnishings, appliances, accessories and more, across multiple plastic substrates.

These large-size (3” x 1-7/8”) polypropylene chips remove the limitations from your design process by enabling precise color communication and control of color in plastics throughout the color development process. Polypropylene chip material closely aligns with common real-world production materials, ensuring accurate color reproduction in your product. Corresponding pigment formulation combines with the physical chip for the most accurate standard combination.
